The Model Factory Paper is fully committed to the goal of climate-neutral paper production by 2045. In addition to decarbonization paper production, the aim is to use disruptive and innovative research approaches to make the paper manufacturing process sustainable and save 80 % of the energy required in the manufacturing process. Dr. Markus Wildberger, Corporate Director Technology of Koehler Innovation & Technologie and Shareholder Committee Chairman of Modellfabrik Papier, emphasizes: "We are proud that Modellfabrik Papier, of which we are a shareholder, has recently received and publicly handed over the funding commitment for one of the first major Triple Helix projects, a close cooperation between industry, science and politics, in the Rhineland region." Our thanks go to Mona Neubaur, NRW Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy, and Dr. Andrea Vater, Vice President of the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) for their confidence, as well as Peter Bekaert, Managing Director of Modellfabrik Papier, and his colleagues on the Shareholders' Committee and the Scientific Advisory Board for their tireless efforts. The project is also an important step and signal for a climate-neutral future for Koehler Innovation & Technology.
